Community members from the Sinthumule area gathered to pay their last respects to the well-known late businesswoman, Ms. Mutshinya Malange, when she was laid to rest at the Madombidzha graveyard on Saturday, 20 January. Malange died at her home on 13 January this year, following a short illness. She was 53 at the time of her death.

Pastor Thomas Mamburu of the Christ Family Centre said the family and church deeply mourned the death of Malange. "We are very saddened by her death, but we will have to accept it because God's will has been done," he said.

Her daughter, Ms. Rofhiwa Malange, said their mother's death was a big loss to the family, but that they felt encouraged by the fact that she had taught them the ropes of the business while she had been still alive. "I can say it here in front of these people that we will take this business to another level in honour of our late mother," Rofhiwa said.

Vhamusanda Vho Ntsundeni Sinthumule of Madombidzha, who also attended the funeral, said Malange had been a "soldier" for the bigger part of her life. "She was one of those women who fought for development in the prime of her life and excelled at everything she did. She will be remembered for her dedication and tenacity as a businesswoman. We truly have lost one of our giants who still had a lot to offer to the development of the community," he said.
