Benny's Care will represent Vhembe and defend the Copa-Cola Cola U/15 Cup in the provincial final at the Malamulele Stadium tomorrow (Saturday).
Benny's are last year's provincial winners and they ended third in the national championship. The other four winners that will compete tomorrow are: Bjatladi Secondary (Capricorn), Makike High (Mopani), Moroathebe High (Sekhukhune) and Bela-Bela High (Waterberg).
During the tournament, they will be assessed by selectors who will be selecting players to an initiative called Copa Coca Cola Future Stars. The search will be led by the tournament ambassador and former Bafana Bafana player Jabu "Shuffle" Mahlangu. He will be assisted by a seasoned panel of scouting experts, including former Platinum Stars player Simba Marumo, former Kaizer Chiefs player Jabulani Mendu and the U/17 National team's assistant coach, Vela Khumalo.
Those selected will be joined by players from other provinces and given the opportunity to receive the latest football training methods. They will also receive training from a team of highly qualified sporting experts. The selected players will be offered a chance to play several friendly games against SA's top junior academy teams from various Premier Soccer League clubs.
The coach of Benny's Care, Moses Muthelo, stated that they had a squad that had all the ingredients for winning the championship. He added that the players were highly motivated after they had played well in the friendly matches last week.
