Dynamos showed a spirit of commitment in the opening minutes, but their original stamina faded with time. Black Heroes were the first to blow the trumpet. Their goal came in the 9th minute via Ndyangumuni Mkhansi. The solitary goal for Dynamos was scored by Kaizer Magera.
At that stage the game was 29 minutes old. The score was still 1-1 when the teams adjourned for half time.
Richard Manganyi of Black Heroes and Kaizer Magera of Dynamos were warned with cards for rough tackling. Dynamos missed two beautiful chances in a row.
This led to their strikers losing their fighting spirit. Black Heroes found the winning goal in the 60th minute. Richard Manganyi went loose and beat the Dynamos keeper. Heroes nearly hit the target again a little later, but their goal was disallowed on the basis that the scorer, Robert Manganyi had been in an off-side position.
Heroes soon put that at the back of their heads and fought tirelessly in search of more goals. They were rewarded when Doctor Chauke forced his way through the defence of Dynamos and scored. Their fourth goal was an honour to Richard Manganyi who tapped the ball in after a scramble within the Dynamos box.
