With four matches remaining before the conclusion of the first-round league programme, teams competing under the auspices of the Motsepe Foundation Championship are gearing up for an action-packed weekend.

After playing two consecutive home games, Black Leopards will hit the road this Sunday. Lidoda Duvha will travel to Pretoria, where they will battle for league points against the University of Pretoria FC at the Absa Tuks Stadium.

Leopards' captain, Thendo Mukumela, will be available for selection on Sunday. Mukumela has missed the team's last two matches, having been red-carded during their game against Cape Town Spurs at the Athlone Stadium earlier this month. If he features in the starting 11, Mukumela is expected to form a solid defensive line alongside Sidney Fakude, Tebogo Thangwane, and Amukelani Chauke.

The University of Pretoria, widely known as Amatuks, have struggled to find a winning formula this season. The team is still reeling from a 0-2 defeat to Kruger United at the Kanyamazane Stadium near Nelspruit last Saturday. A victory for Black Leopards on Sunday could propel them from fourth to second on the log standings.

Venda Football Club will host Pretoria Callies at the Thohoyandou Stadium. Callies lived up to expectations last Saturday by defeating Casric Stars 2-1 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium outside Pretoria.

Other fixtures for the weekend include Cape Town Spurs vs JDR Stars, Highbury vs Baroka FC, Kruger United vs Orbit College, Upington City vs Durban City, Leruma United vs Hungry Lions, and Milford FC vs Casric Stars.
