The waiting period is over. Black Leopards' supporters will finally watch their team play at their own home ground for the first time this season.
Lidoda Duvha will host Bloemfontein Celtic in their Absa Premiership League match at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Leopards played their first two home league matches at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, since the Thohoyandou Stadium was still to be approved by the league.
When asked about the team's level of readiness for the game, the head coach, Mr Joel "The Prophet" Masutha, said that his men were ready to make Celtic pay for the 1-2 defeat they suffered at the hands of Orlando Pirates three weeks ago.
Celtic are still to lose a league match this season. They won three of the four matches they have played to date and played to a draw once. Celtic's strikers will not find it easy to break the Leopards' rock-solid wall, which is manned by Marks Munyai, Jean Munganga and Thivhavhudzi Ndou. The combination of Phathutshedzo Nange and Khuliso Mudau in the Leopards' midfield has the potential to give the opposition a headache, while the strikers, Mwape Musonda, Joseph Mhlongo and Xolani Ndlovu, are sharpened to kill.
In the other Absa Premiership League matches that will also be played on Sunday, Amazulu will host Mamelodi Sundowns and Highlands Park will entertain Lamontville Golden Arrows.
Five matches will be played at various places throughout the country tomorrow. The fixtures are: Chippas United vs Baroka FC, Kaizer Chiefs vs Cape Town City, Maritzburg United vs Bidvest Wits, Polokwane City vs Free State Stars and Orlando Pirates vs SuperSport United.
