After beating Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila 2-0 in their Motsepe Foundation Championship League match at the Thohoyandou Stadium two weeks ago, Black Leopards are geared to collect more points this weekend. Lidoda duvha will travel to Kimberley on Saturday to test their strength against Hungry Lions at the Windhoek Draught Stadium.

Although Black Leopards must win all their remaining matches to escape the relegation axe at the end of the season, the head coach of the team, Mr Owen Da Gama, said they would take one game at a time. He emphasised the fact that their primary focus was on their match against Hungry Lions and that they would start with their preparations for their next game after Saturday's game.

The fact that Hungry Lions still stand an outside chance to secure a place in the promotional playoffs is reason enough for the Thohoyandou side not to expect a walk in the park on Saturday. Hungry Lions are lying in the fourth position on the log standings with 43 points, seven behind the top three teams, Casric Stars, Polokwane City and Cape Town Spurs.

Should they manage to beat Black Leopards on Saturday and any of the top three teams donate vital points to their opponents, Hungry Lions will be in the hot race to book a place in the promotional playoffs and to lift the league trophy as well. The Kimberley side played to a 1-1 draw in their last match, against Venda Football Academy at the Thohoyandou Stadium, two weeks ago.
