Mauluma Black Mamba fought hard for their 5-4 victory over the much-respected Mikhado FC in their MMK Administrators League match at Mauluma on Saturday.

Mamba enjoyed more ball possession, but their promising moves were turned into nightmares by the rock-solid defence of Mikhado. Khodani Bugana of Mamba opened the score in the 26th minute after receiving a beautiful pass from Aluwani Rambau.

Their skilful fast forward, Thuso Ralushai, hooked in the ball after a scramble within the box to score the second goal of his team, making the half-time score 2-0 in favour of Mamba.

The introduction of three players for Mikhado, Zamurotha Ndou, Mpho Mavhandu and Phathutshedzo Tshifhulufheli, changed the complexion of the game in the second half. Mikhado were more prominent and Aluwani "Killer" Nedzamba forced his way through the defence of the Mambas and unleashed a ground cutter from the edge of the box to make the score 2-1.

Rendani Thavhana equalised a few minutes later with a powerful shot. The visitors from Rabali found their third goal in the 74th minute, when Tshifhulufheli Phathutshedzo scored with a ground cutter. Mamba received a penalty and Vincent Mphephu equalised from the white spot.

A few minutes later, Rendani Thavhana of Mikhado completed his brace and scored his team's fourth goal. Mikhado were reduced to 10 men when Rendani Thavhana was given his marching orders for a second bookable offence.

Khodani Bugani then equalised from 30 meters out and Mikhado committed suicide by allowing the Mamba dribbling wizards, Tshisa Rudzani and Aluwani Rambau, to do as they pleased in the middle of the park. The winning goal was scored late in the game via Thuso Ralushai.
