A gifted young hip-hop artist from Mpheni Block C, Rolivhuwa Nyadzane, better known as Blvck Phanda, released his first hip hop EP, "Senseful Echo", on 30 April, and his fans are already going crazy over it.

Blvck Phanda started writing his own songs when he was very young. One day, he caught the attention of his landlord, who saw him performing one of his own songs and told the young artist to take his gift seriously.

But Nyadzane reckons that music has been a part of him since he was just a young boy. "I used to sing when I travelled to school and back almost every day. When I joined the school choir at high school, people started to realise my talent for singing," he said.

Blvck Phanda is confident that he has hit just the right spot. "I believe that I started a whole new movement within hip-hop in our region. My fans are always left attentive and with a deep interest in my music," he said.

"The EP will showcase my evolution and incorporation of hip-hop elements, and I hope to create more music videos to enhance television exposure. The response to the song has been incredible, allowing me to connect with more fans and witness the joy the song brings. The love for this EP has been truly amazing."

He is appealing to the local business community or a good Samaritan to help him get his full album recorded. "It would mean a lot to me. It hurts when you know you have the talent to make it in the music world but fail to record because of financial constraints," he said.
