Boyfriend sought after Tshaulu woman found dead in pit toilet

Police are investigating the death of Fhelisa Nevhufumba, 40, whose body was found in a pit toilet with facial and head injuries. Detectives are seeking her boyfriend, Foster Ramuthogi, as he may have crucial information regarding her death.

Police are still trying to piece together the circumstances surrounding the death of a 40-year-old woman whose body was found inside a pit toilet at Ha-Lambani Mahagala on Sunday, 19 July.

The body of Fhelisa Nevhufumba was discovered at about 11:40 at her home. Family members alerted community members, who then contacted the authorities. Emergency services attended the scene and retrieved the body, covered with a blanket, from the pit toilet.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the woman had sustained injuries to her face and head. Detectives are trying to establish the circumstances surrounding her death.

As part of the investigation, detectives visited the residence of the woman's boyfriend, Foster Ramuthogi (40), but he was not there.

Police have asked Ramuthogi to report to his nearest police station, as investigators believe he may have information that could assist with the investigation. Police emphasised that he has not been identified as a suspect.
