Tshikovha Arsenal will not partake in the semi-final matches of the MTG KO competition. They were booted out of the prestigious competition by Fundudzi United Brothers.

Brothers won the contest 1-2 at the Khubvi Benjies grounds on Sunday.

Arsenal nearly conceded an early goal after their right back, Mmbengeni Netshiombo, failed to deal with Thabelo Ntshauba's cross. Netshiombo fumbled to clear the ball from his danger area, before taking it out for a corner kick. Arsenal realized that it was not their day when they missed a fortune when the game was 24 minutes old.

A defender of United Brothers handled the ball within his penalty area and the referee was quick to award a penalty to Arsenal. Moses Muhadisa, however, shot straight to the keeper, David Khakhu, who palmed the ball away for a corner kick.

Arsenal seemingly lost their original fighting spirit after Muhadisa's failure, but revived it later in the game. They were unstoppable in the last 20 minutes of the game. They created several obvious scoring chances, but it was difficult for them to penetrate through the defence of United Brothers. Thabelo Ntshauba, the Brothers' diminutive left-footed striker, tried his luck with a half volley towards the end of the game. The ball hit the crossbar and bounced outside the field of play for a goal kick.

No goal was scored during the regulation time and the winner was determined through penalty shootout. United Brothers converted three chances from the white spot through Thabelo Ntshauba, Ndamulelo Muhashela and Thompho Phaswana, while Arsenal scored only two.
