Gogobole Bucs played their hearts out to silence Tshiozwi Dynamos in an MMK Administrators League match at the Gogobole grounds on Saturday. The final score was 4-3.
The game was played at an even pace, with both sides creating scoring chances. Dynamos missed numerous chances in the opening minutes, while Bucs were dictating terms in the middle of the park. The only player who was cautioned with a card was Zane Mulaudzi of Dynamos He kicked the keeper of Bucs and Referee Shakes Netshiavha was quick to flash a yellow card.
Bucs were the first to find the net. In the 15th minute, Chicks Sikhwivhilu blasted in a rocket from the 25-meter area. Dynamos fought back strongly and within five minutes, Nengovhela was on target with a half-volley, following a neat pass from Velaphi Mphaphuli.
Bucs took the lead again in the 37th minute. Lutendo Mabasa found the net from a set piece. Dynamos levelled matters via Matodzi Maruli in the 39th minute to bring the half-time score to 2-2.
Early in the second half, Thabelo Tharini forced his way through the defence of Dynamos and released a rocket from outside the box to score Bucs' third goal. As if he was a spectator, the keeper, Vhuthu Netshiomvani, watched the ball hit the net without making any attempt to make a save.
The wheel of fortune turned in favour of Dynamos in the 65th minute. They were awarded a penalty. Mpho Mavhandu converted it from the white spot to equaliser. The winning goal for Bucs was scored by Fani Sadiki late in the match.
