With most of the affiliates of the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League remaining with seven matches to wrap up their league programme for the current soccer season, the struggle for promotion and to escape the relegation axe will continue this weekend. Three matches will be played on Friday afternoon, while the rest of the fixtures are scheduled for Saturday.
After collecting the maximum points in their last two matches, Vondwe XI Bullets are geared up to deposit more points into their league account this weekend. They will host Musina United at the Tshifudi Stadium on Saturday.
Bullets started the new year with a 1-0 victory over the log leaders, Mpheni Home Defenders, at the Tshifudi Stadium two weeks ago. They went on to collect more points when they narrowly beat Emmanuel FC 1-0 at the same venue last Saturday.
Their goals against Home Defenders and Emmanuel were scored by Mulweli "Matari" Netshidzivhe. Should Netshidzivhe fail to find the net against Musina on Saturday, his teammates, Phathutshedzo Nemagovhani and Talifhani Manyaga, will ensure that United go back to Musina with empty hands.
Giyani Happy Boys will host Mikhado FC at the Xikukwani Stadium outside Giyani. Happy Boys are sharpened to kill after beating Munaca FC 3-1 at the Makhado Show Grounds last Saturday. United Artists will travel to Giyani, where they will test their strength against Emmanuel FC at the Giyani Stadium. United Artists played to a goalless draw with Winners Park at the Makhuvha Stadium last Saturday.
Winners Park will host Munaca FC at the Xikukwani Stadium outside Giyani. Tzaneen United will play against Phinnet City at the Nkowankowa Stadium in Tzaneen. The three fixtures scheduled for Friday are City Motors vs The Dolphins FC, Tubatse United vs PJ Stars and Ditlou FC vs Eleven Fast Tigers.
