By Elmon Tshikhudo • 12 September 2014

Casual Day was celebrated all over with great enthusiasm this year.

Many people across the country joined the Casual Day festivities on 5 September 2014, with local schools and businesses doing their part by contributing to this charity event.

At Awelani Christian School at Shayandima, almost all of the 500 pupils bought articles such as T-shirts, caps, stickers and other items in support of the day. "We have told the children about the importance of buying these items. This is for a good cause as the money raised will go towards assisting the less privileged," said Mr Thifhelimbilu Rasikhanya, principal of the school. Several other schools also took part in the initiative.

Checkers Makhado workers wore their colourful traditional wear during Casual Day while the Dzanani II taxi drivers were wearing suits.
