Mhlokozi Fast Move proceeded to the next stage of the Rospa soccer tournament when they beat Tshikota Chelsea 7-6 by penalty shoot-out, after they had played to a goalless draw on Sunday at Vuwani Mandani grounds.
Chelsea was strong at the far back and in their striking force, but lacked cohension in the middle of the park. The balls that threatened the defence of Chelsea were ballooned from behind.
Mhlokozi enjoyed more ball possesion, but their promising moves were turned into a nightmare by the rock-solid defence of Chelsea. No goals were seen during the first half. This was because Mhlokozi were cooling the ball down in the middle of the park, giving their opponents no chance to do as they pleased.
Both sides used all their substitutions and Chelsea got a chance early in the second half, but their striker, Michel Moloto, shoot wide with only the keeper left. The centre forward of Chelsea, Chester Murwanthi, went into the referee“s book, following dangerous play on Davis Mathonsi.
Mhlokozi had opportunity in the 74th minute, but Given Mhlambo shot into the keeper hands. Mhlokozi captain Peter Chauke should have blown the trumpet as he beat the defence, but his shot hit the upright.
In the penalty shoot-out, Chelsea missed one and Mhlokozi scored seven.
