Teams campaigning in the ABC Motsepe League Limpopo Stream are gearing up for another action-packed weekend.
The “battle of the weaklings” will see Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) take on Nkowankowa Continentals at Nkowankowa Stadium on Saturday. TTM, affectionately known as Vhadau Vha Damani, sit third from the bottom with 13 points, while Continentals languish at the foot of the table with seven points.
Although Continentals have a match in hand, their chances of escaping relegation appear slim. The Tzaneen side have recorded only one victory so far, a 2-0 win over Vondwe XI Bullets at Makonde Stadium last Saturday. TTM drew 3-3 with Phalaborwa United last Sunday.
After sharing the spoils with White Vultures in a 2-2 draw last Saturday, Mpheni Defenders will host Tzaneen United at Mpheni Grounds. Still unbeaten this season, Defenders are leading the pack with 41 points from 17 outings. Rophney Hlongwane, Meshack Maphangule, and Lufuno Mulaudzi are among the team’s secret weapons.
Other fixtures this weekend include Vondwe XI Bullets visiting Lebash Football Academy at Ben Seroka Stadium in Senwabarwana, Musina United hosting White Vultures at Musina Rugby Stadium, and Mukondeni Young Chiefs facing The Dolphins at Makhado Show Grounds. Phalaborwa United will take on Baduzah Celtics, while Mighty FC will play Tubatse United FC.
