While the South African weather service warned about thunderstorms over the central parts of both the Free State and North West Province, the chances of similar conditions are looking slim for the Soutpansberg District.
The local weather forecast predicts cloudy conditions for the remainder of the week, with fog patches and drizzle, otherwise partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers.
The weekend, however, the chances of rain are expected to increase to between 30 – 60% over the weekend from Friday onwards.
