At the age of 21, Dakalo Malange is a good example that good stories with a moral twist and motivation are not only written by aged writers whose chief motive is to instruct or advise the youth to follow a way of life.
Dakalo has just penned a novella, entitled Tears of an Orphan. The tale follows the trials and tribulations of a young and intelligent girl named Matilda, who goes through several tough situations after she loses both parents to death.
"Matilda is very intelligent, and she has dreams and goals that she wants to achieve," said Dakalo. "When her parents pass away, she has to move and go and stay with her granny and cousin. It is not that easy for her to adapt or get accustomed to such an atmosphere because her cousin does not love her."
The story details a number of adverse situations that she has to deal with on her way to adulthood, most of which she has little or no control over. Whether she eventually prevails over her circumstances, readers will have to find out by reading the story.
The book has reached post-production stage and launch dates will be announced after the lockdown.
