David Sebe’s death denied as false

Rumors of Muvhango actor David Sebe's death have been debunked by fellow actor Gabriel Temudzani, confirming Sebe is alive and well.

Rumours about the alleged passing of popular Muvhango actor David Sebe have been dismissed as false following widespread speculation on social media.

The unverified claims spread rapidly online, causing concern among fans and the entertainment community. The claims were made mostly on Facebook and TikTok.

One of his close friends and fellow Muvhango actor, Gabriel Temudzani, has since set the record straight, confirming that Sebe is alive and in good health.

“Clearing the air: Mr David Sebe (Gizzar) is very much alive and in good spirits. The rumours aren’t true — he’s well, smiling, and grateful for the love. Please share the facts, not the noise,” said Temudzani after being called on Thursday morning.

David Sebe, a veteran Limpopo-born actor, is best known for his role as Vho-Gizara Mukwevho in the SABC2 soapie. A longstanding member of the show’s cast, he gained recognition for portraying a senior royal figure who often embodied tradition and authority within the storyline.

With a background in theatre as well as television, Sebe is regarded as one of the steady, experienced performers who helped establish Muvhango as a mainstay of South African broadcasting.
