Life Maluleke, better known by his stage name of "Isando", released his debut eight-track house album, titled "Medusa," last week.
Maluleke, who resides at Tswika in the Muwaweni area, explained that the album was a very emotional piece of work, inspired by the reality of the world and the challenges that people were currently facing. "I took my time to release this album," he said.
The album contains songs such as "Dr Lazula", "Obesipho", and "Redzafuthi," which have already become popular among Isando fans. "I am not surprised that it is doing well, because like everything else I do, I put a lot of effort into it. Sometimes I would work on a song and shelve it for days," he explained.
Maluleke believes that music is a universal language through which he can interact with millions of people from different cultures across the world. "In spite of different languages, music connects us to a language we can all understand, and through it, we ignite global peace, unity, and harmony."
He said that although he loved music, education was still his number one priority. "I know how important that foundation is," he said. "I have always been a great dancer, even as a child. I used to love music and dancing in front of the mirror, pretending that I am performing in front of a large audience."
"I am working very hard to make sure that I get recognised in the music industry. I want my music to be played on TV, and I will not give up until I get there," he added.
