Last weekend was a bad one for Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC. They suffered a 1-3 defeat at the hands of Richards Bay FC in their NFD League match at the Umhlatuze Sports Complex in Richards Bay on Sunday.

It took the home side only two minutes to open their account. Joseph Dlamini was on target, following a neat pass from George Zwane. TTM were awarded a penalty in the 24th minute. The former Jomo Cosmos' playmaker, Lifa Hlogwane, made no mistake from the white spot. The goal was an insult to the home side. They reclaimed the lead through Jeffrey Skhosana towards the end of the first half.

Their third goal was scored by Lawrence Mcunu later in the game.

Stellenbosch FC maintained their unbeaten record by collecting the maximum points at the expense of Cape Town All Stars last Friday. The goal that earned Stellenbosch the three match points came via Tsepo Mabua in the 80th minute.

Ubuntu Cape Town and Jomo Cosmos played to a 1-1 draw at the Athlone Stadium. Ranga Chivaviro scored Ubuntu's goal from a penalty in the 24th minute. Cosmos fought back, and five minutes before the final whistle, Onnasius Mnthambo blasted in a rocket from inside the box.

Highlands Park suffered their third defeat in a row. They lost 0-1 to Mbombela United at the Kanyamazane Stadium. Tsepo Liphoko scored the goal that separated the boys from the men in the 44th minute.

The University of Pretoria moved to the second spot on the log, following their 2-1 victory over Witbank Spurs in eMalahleni. Mthatha Bucks beat Uthongathi FC 2-1 at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban, and Royal Eagles and Super Eagles played to a 1-1 draw at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg.
