The game started on a high note and the visitors nearly struck gold in the 15th minute through Alfred Silumane. He received a beautiful pass from Lawrence Kekana, but his powerful shot hissed over the goalpost. The Dynamos star right-winger, Soul Mmethi dribbled past four Aces defenders in a row, but goalkeeper Fanie Moloto was there to save the situation.
Dynamos injected more life into their strike force when they introduced Andries Sebola for George Ramphela towards the end of the first half. Sebola was denied a scoring chance two minutes into the last half when Moloto tipped his effort over the crossbar.
Dynamos found the net in the 70th minute. The Aces keeper Moloto failed to communicate with his defenders and Timothy Nkosi's shot was deflected into the net by an Aces sweeper. The second goal for Dynamos came in the 77th minute. Soul Mmethi was tackled within the box and referee Petrus Mathabela awarded a penalty to the home- side.
Andries Sebola converted it into a goal from the white spot. Dynamos later replaced their Zambian striker, Sandras Kamwenda with Jacky Ledwaba. Ledwaba combined well with Sebola and Soul Mmethi at the forefront. Dynamos now need a point to celebrate their promotion to the elite league with pride and dignity.
