Dynamos were displaying entertaining football in the opening minutes but it was difficult for them to penetrate through the defence of Santos that was marsharlled by their captain John Mbizo and Tyron Arendse. The visitors from Limpopo missed a fortune in the 18th minute.
Their overlapping midfielder, David Mathebula was trapped with the box and the Eastern Cape referee, Mr Ace Ncobo awarded them A penalty. Joel Seroba shot straight to the keeper who easily saved the ball. The Dynamos supporters were more frustrated when David Mathebula went loose and shot wide from the close range in the 38th minute.
Santos took the game to the opponents shortly thereafter with their midfielders dishing some telling passes to their strikers. Their efforts paid off after Dynamos conceded a corner kick in the 40th minute. Fees Moloi took the ball from the corner spot and Jean Mc Ithier used his height advantage to head the ball home.
The score was still l -0 at half time. Dynamos created several promising moves in the last half but the lady luck was not on their side. Gerald Raphahlela, the Dynamos defender was booked for obstruction on Fees Moloi in the 80th minute.
Santos put more pressure onto the Dynamos defence four minutes before the last whistle and Fees Moloi finished on a rebound after a try by Jean Mc Ithier. The results of the game leaves Dynamos with more work to do in order to move out of the danger zone on the log.
