Fourteen villages will battle it out in the Hollywoodbets Easter Soccer Challenge, set to take place this weekend at the Muduluni Young Chiefs and Ravele Highlanders Grounds. The tournament is organised and hosted by Mamu Community Development.
The fixtures for Thursday, 18 April, at the Ravele Highlanders ground are as follows:
* 09:00: Tshiozwi vs Gogobole
* 11:00: Madombidzha vs Madabani
* 13:00: Ravele vs Tshikota
* 15:00: Ramantsha vs a team that fell out in the first round
At the Muduluni Young Chiefs ground, the fixtures are:
* 09:00: Midoroni vs Makhitha
* 11:00: Tshikwarani vs Manavhela
* 13:00: Muduluni vs Maebani
* 15:00: Madodonga vs a team that fell out in the first round
The eight winners will proceed to the next round, scheduled to take place at the Muduluni Young Chiefs ground on Friday, 19 April. The semi-finals and final will be played on Sunday.
The tournament winners will walk away with R25,000, a soccer kit, gold medals, a floating trophy and a hamper. The runners-up will receive R12,000, a soccer kit, silver medals and hampers. The two semi-final losers will each receive R5,000, while teams exiting in the quarter-finals will receive R2,500 each.
