Q: Congratulations on your upcoming album! Can you tell us the title and what inspired it?
A: It's named Thetshelesani because the EP itself carries a lot of messages throughout the songs. So, immediately when you hear the name, you'll know that this is a must-listen.
Q: How does this project differ from your previous releases, both in sound and message?
A: It is different because this is my first EP. I've never released an album or EP before, so this is where the real Eazy SA gets unleashed.
Q: What role does your Venrap identity play in shaping the album's content and sound?
A: As Eazy SA, my Venda heritage plays a huge role in shaping my album's content and sound. I draw inspiration from my roots, incorporating traditional Venda rhythms, melodies and storytelling into my music. I often write about Venda culture, traditions and experiences, and I blend traditional Venda sounds with modern genres.
Q: Whom did you collaborate with on this album and how did those collaborations come about?
A: On this EP, I collaborated with Mizo Phyll, JR Player, Muny Max, Daloo Dee, Nevie Blue, Lady Tiana and Jex Beats, who produced the EP. I chose them because they are talented and portray good messages to listeners.
Q: Which track are you personally most proud of, and why?
A: I'm proud of Afhole because of the message it carries.
Q: What challenges did you face while making this album, either creatively or personally?
A: There are other artists I could not get hold of, and I would have loved to have them on the EP.
Q: Venrap is a powerful platform for storytelling. What are some of the key themes or messages you're delivering through this album?
A: Audiences should listen to the EP. Each and every song carries a different message.
Q: How do you see the current state of Venrap and Limpopo hip-hop in general? Are artists getting the recognition they deserve?
A: Yes, artists are getting recognised. It is the responsibility of the artist to go into the studio and work.
Q: You're known for fusing street wisdom with poetic delivery. Where do you draw your lyrical inspiration from?
A: From Chris Brown.
Q: Are there any visuals, tours or special launch plans we should look out for?
A: Yes. Audiences should look out for the Thetshelesani EP launch and tour. Stay connected to our social media platforms for updates.
Q: What do you hope listeners will take away from the album once they've heard it from start to finish?
A: Each and every song on the Thetshelesani EP carries a unique message.
Q: Lastly, what's your message to your supporters as you prepare to present this new chapter of your journey?
A: Here's a message for my supporters: Ndi khou livhuwa musi ndi tshi khou vhadisela Thetshelesani EP! I'm super excited to share this new music with you all! Thetshelesani EP is a reflection of my journey, culture and passion. Thank you for the love and support — let's celebrate Venda's beauty together!
