The Tshenzhelani Grounds in the Niani area will be a hive of activity this weekend as the annual Bilisi Sports Festival takes place.
Eight teams affiliated with the Musina Local Football Association will compete in this year's edition of the tournament. The teams gearing up for the event are Malale D Boys, Vini FC, Gumbu Peace Makers, Dovho PSG, Masisi FC, Masisi Young Stars, Tshenzhelani Diitee and Tshilamusi Super Eagles.
The quarter-final matches will be played on Saturday, with the semi-finals and final scheduled for Sunday.
The opening quarter-final will see Vini FC take on Gumbu Peace Makers at 09:00. Malale D Boys and Dovho PSG will clash at 11:00, followed by the Masisi derby between Masisi FC and Masisi Young Stars at 13:00. Saturday's programme will conclude with the match between Tshenzhelani Diitee and Tshilamusi Super Eagles.
The winners of the quarter-finals will contest the semi-finals on Sunday morning, with the final scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
According to one of the tournament organisers, Mr Joseph Manenzhe, this year's champions will receive R7,500, gold medals and a floating trophy. The runners-up will take home R4,500 and silver medals. Teams knocked out in the semi-finals will each receive R2,500.
