Eight teams from Muhuyu and surrounding areas will take part in the BRT Soccer Tournament this weekend.
Saturday's fixtures are as follows: Luvhimbi Wanders vs MT Green Mambas at 09:00, Tshimuthe FC vs Tshilapalamulilo FC at 11:00, Matangari High Aims vs Mukumbani Shooting Stars at 13:00, and Matangari Rising Stars vs Makwarani Freelimo Boys at 15:00.
The semi-finals and final will be played on Sunday. The champions will walk away with R5,500, a floating trophy, gold medals, a soccer kit and a soccer ball. The runners-up will receive R2,300, silver medals, a soccer kit and a soccer ball. The teams finishing in third and fourth place will each receive R750.
According to the chairman of the organising committee, Thifhelimbilu "16V" Mulibana, the cash prizes may increase, depending on the amount received from additional sponsors.
