The Madimbo Siawoadza Sports Ground will be a hive of activity this weekend. The much-awaited Funani Ndou Attorneys Soccer Tournament will be staged there. Eight teams from Madimbo and the surrounding villages will take part in the tournament.
The teams gearing up for the sporting weekend are Mabvete Peace Makers, Saudi FC, Madimbo Liada Vuluvulu, Madimbo FC, Masea Try Again, Makuya Try Again, Madimbo Royal Eagles and Malale Royal Eagles. The quarter-final matches will be played on Saturday, while the semi-final and final matches are scheduled for Sunday.
The opening quarter-final match will be between Mabvete Peace Makers and Saudi FC at 09:00. Madimbo Liada Vuluvulu will take on Madimbo FC in the second fixture, which is scheduled to start at 11:00. Masea Try Again and Makuya Try Again will lock horns at 13:00 while the day's programme will be wrapped by the match between Madimbo Royal Eagles and Malale Royal Eagles. The fixtures for the semi-final matches will be conducted at the grounds shortly after the last quarter-final match.
According to the chairman of the organising committee, Mr Ntsedzeni Phaswana, the final game will be preceded by a rehearsal game between Madimbo Pull Together and Domboni Sunshine FC.
