Eight teams from around Sinthumule will participate in the Joe Phungo Foundation Soccer Challenge on 15 and 16 December at the Tshiozwi Grounds.
The teams are: Madombidzha Angry Lion, Tshiozwi Mates, Mabaleng Hollywoodbets, Gogobole Bucs, Gogobole Madrid FC, Tshiozwi Dynamos, Tshiozwi United, and Gogobole Home Defenders.
According to the organisers, the winners will receive R5,000, a soccer kit, a floating trophy, and gold medals. The runners-up will get R3,000, a soccer kit, and silver medals. The team finishing in third place will receive R2,000, bronze medals, and a soccer kit, while the fourth-placed team will receive R2,000.
The organiser, Mr Joe Phungo, said players should take this tournament very seriously as they had invited professional soccer teams to scout for players during the games.
