Local bolo house and amapiano musician Mutshidzi Chauke has released a single called Murena Wanga.
Chauke, who is known as #EM Boy-SA in music circles, started singing with local friends in 2015. "I have always wanted to be a musician since I was very young. I wrote and composed all the songs on my album, which will be released next year. This single was recorded first because of a lack of funds, otherwise I would have recorded the whole album at once," he said.
The track was recorded at Lawfam Studio in Makonde village and produced by the Netshituni brothers, Zwanga and Shudufhadzo.
He is appealing to the local business community or a Good Samaritan to help him get his full album recorded. "It would mean a lot to me. It hurts when you know you have talent to make it in the music world but fail to record because of financial strains," he said.
