Between 1998 and 2024, musician Eric Singo, better known by his stage name of Eric De DJ SA, released many songs, but they never quite captured the hearts of fans. Despite the lukewarm reception and various obstacles along the way, he never stopped dreaming and continued pushing forward.
It was only last year that his star began to shine when he teamed up with popular musician Black Goddes Sheiker to record a hit single titled Thina Ndavha. As if that was not enough, the musician from Malavuwe, outside Thohoyandou, came out guns blazing and released another hot single, Ndi na Muloro, which translates to "I have a dream."
The project, which he started in 2024 after meeting the talented vocalist Phathutshedzo Ramutsheli, better known as Miss Pee, was completed and released in February 2025. The single was recorded at Home of Beatz Entertainment.
"So far, so good. Things are going as planned, and I am beyond happy for the support and encouragement I'm receiving from fans. This single has catapulted me to a new level in the industry. Wherever I go, people recognise me, stop to greet me, and congratulate me. I am so humbled," he said.
According to Eric De DJ SA, people—especially the youth—should always dream big, no matter the challenges they face.
"My journey has not been smooth, but I never lost hope. My goal is to work hard to popularise Tshivenda music. I also aspire to collaborate with as many artists as possible and nurture new talent as my contribution to the community. To the youth, I say: hold on to your dreams. One day, everything will make sense," he said.
His music career began at a young age, around 1998. Along the way, he developed a passion for DJing, eventually becoming a well-known figure behind the decks.
