The last-16-round matches for the Vision Soccer Tournament will be played at the Khubvi Benjie's Grounds this weekend. Four matches will be played on Saturday, with the same number of fixtures scheduled for Sunday.
Saturday's programme will be opened by the match between Khubvi Peace Makers and Phandulaluvalo FC. Peace Makers had beaten Matangari Rising Stars 2-1 at the same venue last Saturday to secure a place in the last-16 round. Phandulaluvalo must keep an eye on the Peace Makers' sharpshooters, Muvhuso Nelukau and Zwivhuya Sikhwari, or else they will reach the end of their Vision Tournament road.
Makhuvha All Stars will meet Nweli Stone Breakers in the next fixture, which is scheduled to start at 11:00. Mahagala Young Stars and Mukula Avalon will be expected to be on the field of play at 13:00. Young Stars' way to the last-16-round stage went via Matangari High Aims, whom they had narrowly beaten 1-0 last Saturday. The day's programme will be wrapped up by the match between Vondwe XI Bullets and Makhuvha Up The Ants.
Berea FC and Tshaulu Hungry Lions will be the first to lock horns on Sunday. Berea are fast becoming a force to be reckoned with. They have lifted three trophies within the space of three weeks. The last time they went home smiling was when they were crowned the J and J Takalani Soccer Tournament champions at the Tshandama Grounds two weeks ago.
Makwarani Frelimo Boys and Mbahe Freedom Rebels will test each other's strength soon thereafter. Musasenda Big Five are bracing themselves for a tough match against Muhuyu Copper Stars. Copper Stars had beaten Banyini Flying Swallows 7-5 to secure a place in the last-16 round. The last match will be between Ngwenani Young Chiefs and Matsika Shooting Stars.
