Family distraught after old man goes missing

The South African Police Service in Waterval have opened a missing person's file, following the disappearance of a 71-year-old man, Mr Samuel Ngobeni.

The South African Police Service in Waterval have opened a missing person's file, following the disappearance of a 71-year-old man, Mr Samuel Ngobeni.

Ngobeni is a resident at Tshivhuyuni village and he was last seen on 26 January. He left home to look for his cattle in the nearby bushes, but he has not come back home.

At his departure from home, Ngobeni was wearing a blue shirt, navy blue trousers with brown shoes. The police have launched a search operation to locate him, without success.

The family spokesperson, Thomas Ndobe, said that the family was distraught, following the old man's disappearance. "We are appealing to all people to help us find our loved one," Ndobe said. "We love Mr Ngobeni and we need him back home."

The police are also calling upon members of the community to provide information that can assist in reuniting the elderly man with his family.
