The quarter-final and final clashes of the ninth annual Mabena Soccer Tournament will take place at the Mashamba Grounds on Saturday and Sunday.
The champions will receive R30,000, a floating trophy, gold medals, and two soccer kits. A cheque of R20,000, two soccer kits, and silver medals await the team that obtains the second position. The third-placed team will be presented with R10,000, bronze medals, and a soccer kit, while the team ending in fourth position will get R5,000 and a soccer kit.
The semifinal fixtures are as follows: Mashamba Soccer Academy vs. Mukondeni Shooting Stars (08:00), Makhitha Oscar Stars vs. Team Swiswi (10:00), Madridtas vs. Masakona Young Tigers (12:00), and Sambandou United Professionals vs. Masakona Real Citizens (14:00).
When asked about their level of readiness for the matches, the manager of Makhitha Oscar Stars, Mr Sydney Luvhengo, said they were prepared for whatever challenges they might face during the matches. Oscar Stars are the defending champions.
According to the manager of Mashamba Soccer Academy, Ms Mercy Rambau, everything is going well with their preparations.
Mr Andani Nthai, Madridtas' manager, said that his players were ready to face any team and expressed confidence that his team would emerge as winners.
