This weekend marks the end of the ABC Motsepe League programme in the Limpopo Stream. Six matches will be played at different venues across the province on Friday afternoon, with the same number of fixtures scheduled for Saturday.
With Mpheni Defenders already confirmed as Stream A champions, the focus has shifted to teams fighting for survival.
Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) and Lebash Football Academy are the relegation candidates in Stream A. Lebash are rooted at the bottom of the log with 13 points, three fewer than TTM. Coincidentally, TTM will host Lebash Football Academy in their final fixture at Tshifulanani Stadium on Saturday.
Both TTM and Lebash collected maximum points in their matches last weekend. TTM beat The Dolphins FC 2–0, while Lebash thrashed Baduzah Celtics 5–2. TTM head coach Lucky Nelukau assured supporters that Vhadau vha Damani will beat Lebash on Saturday.
Mpheni Defenders, who lost their first league match of the season when they were beaten 1–0 by Musina United last Saturday, will wrap up their campaign with an away fixture against The Dolphins FC.
Vondwe XI Bullets will host White Vultures at Makonde Stadium. Bullets head coach Ndamulelo “Gaddafi” Ratshivhadelo vowed his team will end their league campaign on a high on Saturday.
Other fixtures are Tzaneen United vs Musina United, Phalaborwa United vs Nkowankowa Continentals, Baduzah Celtics vs Mukondeni Young Chiefs, City Motors vs Mighty FC, Eleven Fast Tigers vs Royal Pirates and Tubatse United vs Gosebo United.
