The semi-finals and final of the 11th Mabena Soccer Tournament will take place at Mashamba on Saturday, 27 September.
The competition kicked off on 6 September with 32 teams. The eventual champions will walk away with R70,000, a floating trophy, two soccer kits and gold medals. The runners-up will earn R40,000, while the third- and fourth-placed teams will receive R20,000 and R10,000 respectively, along with soccer kits.
The quarter-final matches were played on Wednesday, 24 September, featuring eight teams: Masakona Real Citizen, SMSA FC, Tshikhwani Stone Breakers, ABC FC, Matsa All Stars, Mphadzha Try Again, Mashamba Academy and Rabali Pull Together. Four teams will emerge from these quarter-finals to proceed to Saturday's semi-finals and final.
The first semi-final will start at 08:00 and the second semi-final at 10:00. The final will take place at 14:30.
Ms Mercy Rambau, spokesperson for the organisers, said several PSL soccer legends would grace the final. After the match, there will be a festival, featuring artists such as Zozo, Dalom Kids, Matshikos and many more. Entrance is free.
