After parting ways with Black Leopards in an amicable way two weeks ago, it took Mr Jean Loscuito only two days to find a new job.

The Belgian mentor is now the head coach of another NFD team, Richards Bay FC.

His appointment came into effect on Friday, 10 November, two days after his departure from the Thohoyandou outfit. Loscuito was on the team's technical bench when his side played to a goalless draw with Witbank Spurs at the Umhlatuze Sports Complex in Richards Bay last Saturday.

Richards Bay are currently lying in the third-last position on the log. They have won only one of the 11 league matches they have played to date. Speaking from his hotel in Richards Bay, Loscuito said he was happy to oversee the coastal side, despite the fact that the Bay is one of the relegation candidates.

Asked about his mandate as the team's head coach, Mr Loscuito said that one of his contractual obligations was to ensure that the team take part in the promotional play-offs at the end of the season. He stated that the mandate was achievable when one considered the fact that they still had 19 matches to play before the end of the season.

He further said that although they were lying in the 13th spot on the log, there was a gap of 12 points between them and the pace setters, Highlands Park. He reiterated that it was still too early to talk about relegation, saying the league championship race was still open. The club's chairman, Mr Sfiso Biyela, confirmed Loscuito's appointment, saying they had at last got the right man for the top job.
