The Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF) will host a pre-retirement workshop at Makhado Showgrounds on Thursday, targeting members between the ages of 54 and 65 who are approaching the end of their working careers.
The workshop, scheduled for 21 May at the Makhado Showgrounds, will run from 08:00 to 15:00 and is open to GEPF members residing in the Makhado municipal area.
Attendees will receive guidance on the benefits they can expect upon retirement, the documents and forms required before they retire, and the paperwork that must be completed and signed through their human resources departments. The workshop will also cover the tax implications of retirement benefits.
The programme includes a registration period from 08:00 to 09:00, followed by an information session with presentations from 09:00 to 12:00. One-on-one assistance will be available from 12:00 to 15:00.
The event targets residents from a wide range of communities across the Makhado area, including Tshilwavhusiku, Vongani, Mashau, Mphephu, Dzanani, Bungeni, Chavani, Mashamba, Levubu, Senwamokgope, Buysdorp, Elim, Munzhedzi, Ha-Ramantsha, Masia Vuwani, Kutama, Sinthumule, Madombidzha, Siloam and Vhulaudzi.
Members attending are asked to bring their identity documents. No registration fee is applicable, and the workshop is free of charge.
