The unexpected happened last Saturday when the struggling Muledane Giant Killers rose to the occasion and beat the title chasers, Joe's Express, 3-2 in their SAB League match that was played at the Muledane grounds.

Both sides approached the game aggressively. It was the home side who was lucky to be the first to find the net. They broke the ice when the game was 10 minutes old. Elias Machicobi caught the Express keeper, Amos Makavhe, napping and blasted in a rocket from outside the box.

Joe´s did not lose their original fighting spirit, despite conceding an early goal. They continued to fight like a team until they found an equalizer in the 24th minute. Maemu Nethavhani made no mistake after receiving a beautiful pass from Emmanuel Singo.

Nethavhani was cautioned with a card soon afterwards. This after he had tackled Thabelo Manwadu of Killers in a rough manner. Giant Killers took the lead again when Emmanuel Mudau headed home, following a heartbreaking scramble within the box.

Joe's Express suffered a big blow when their keeper, Amos Makavhe, sustained an injury that forced the technical staff to replace him. Thomas Phaladzi took over as the new goalie. Express found the equalizer nine minutes before break.

Tshifhiwa Singo scored an easy goal after a pre-cooked pass from Rofhiwa Mabila. A substitute for Giant Killers, Livhuwani Mulaudzi, was reprimanded for a tackle on Joel Goba. Killers scored the winner via Elias Machicobi in the 80th minute. Stanley Tshindane of Giant Killers was warned for wasting time.
