Gwamasenga United Brothers proved that they were a close unit when they beat Shayandima Disco Five 4-2 in their MMK Administrators' League match at the Gwamasenga grounds on Sunday.

Brothers would have had no one to blame except themselves, had they failed to collect the maximum points. They squandered countless obvious opportunities.

The visitors from Shayandima were the first to find the net. Themba Tsamake forced his way through the defence of Brothers and beat the keeper with a ground cutter. There were shouts of "ladies first" from the Brothers' fans shortly after Disco's goal.

Disco did not have enough time to celebrate their goal as Brothers fought back. Five minutes later, Tshilidzi Ramatsitsi was on target, following a great pass from Lindelani Mudau. United Brothers took the lead in the 29th minute. Dakalo Mudau beat the offside trap and sent the keeper the wrong way.

Tshilidzi Ramatsitsi of Brothers was warned with a card for a late tackle on Absalom Ndou three minutes before the end of the first half.

Disco Five lost cohesion in the last half. United Brothers capitalized and increased the margin in the 54th minute. Lindelani Mudau went loose from the right corner and beat the keeper with a volley.

That was a wake-up call for Disco Five. They pulled one back in the 68th minute. Their overlapping defender, Ipfi Nemutudi, forced his way through the defence of Brothers and sent in a rocket from close range. Rofhiwa Matshinyatsimbi score the Brothers' fourth goal after a scramble within the box, nine minutes before the final whistle.
