Teams affiliated with the Limpopo Stream of the Sasol Women's League are gearing up for another busy weekend. Six matches will be played on Saturday, with two scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
After beating Lacoste Morning Stars 2-1 at the Sinthumule High School Grounds last Saturday, Sinthumulekutama FC will have another mountain to climb this Saturday when they host Rodadau FC at the same venue. Although they will be playing in front of their home crowd, collecting the maximum points at stake will not be easy for Sinthumulekutama.
Rodadau are still to lose a league match to date. They are currently leading the pack with 12 points from four outings. To prove that Rodadau's first line of defence is tough to beat, the team has scored 10 goals and conceded only one so far. Rodadau's goalkeeper, Fulufhelo Nekuvule, is no ordinary goalie but an acrobat.
Sinthumulekutama are also yet to lose a league match. They are tied with Rodadau on 12 points. Rodadau are still celebrating their 3-0 victory over Tshandama Young Stars at the Tshitungulwane Grounds outside Vuwani last Saturday.
Lacoste Morning Stars will host Sealene Ladies at the Shayandima High School Grounds. Whether Tshandama Young Stars will manage to rise to the occasion and register their first victory when they entertain Merwe United Ladies remains to be seen. Young Stars are battling to register their first victory so far. They have managed to deposit only one point into their league account from four outings.
Sisters FC will see the arrival of Real Mighty Ladies at the Bolobedu Grounds outside Tzaneen. The other fixtures are University of Limpopo FC vs. Golden Diamonds Ladies, Dinaledi Ladies vs. Mandebele Happy Fighters Ladies, Ramatlaohle Ladies vs. Kanatla Ladies, and Marumo Gallants vs. Maindis Ladies.
