The Grade 9 learner at Mphalaleni Secondary School says he is discouraged by people who look at him with sympathy because of his length.
“Why feel pity for me? God has given me this body for a reason. That is why I want to use my body to make money when I grow up. I am also a human being like anyone and people must accept me as I am…”
Phumudzo says little kids always invite him for play, thinking that he is of their age.
“They even offer me sweets but I enjoy it because the kids love me. I try to explain to them that I am older than they are, but it is hard to convince them…”
He explains that he wants to make it big in the world of acting, especially on television.
“I know I have all those skills but I need some people who can assist me with the relevant channels for venturing into the industry. Height has nothing to do with success, but it is only our dreams that can change our lives. If I can get a deal, I can take acting as a career while at the same time furthering my studies because education is the only key to prosperity…”
Phumudzo’s classmate, Mutshinya Nesane (14), says the gorgeous comedian is gifted and he is very serious with his school work.
“Although he is a little bit funny in the class, Phumudzo is a hard worker who always comes first in his school work. He is such a nice companion and entertainer who will probably make it in the acting industry…”
