The provincial spokesperson for the South African Police Service (SAPS), Brig Thulani Mashaba, is appealing to the community for assistance in locating two individuals who went missing on Monday, 19 May 2025.
A 34-year-old woman, Rendani Tshigwili, and her two-year-old daughter, from the Mphalaleni section of Malavuwe village, reportedly disappeared while travelling from their village to Thohoyandou.
They were last seen in Tshiulungoma village, where the mother said they were on their way to Thohoyandou to purchase electricity. They never returned home and have not been found, despite extensive searches by relatives and in surrounding areas.
At the time of their disappearance, Rendani was believed to be wearing a black and green skirt and black shoes.
