This weekend marks the beginning of the Safa Second Division league activities. Eight matches will be played throughout the province tomorrow afternoon.

Joe Express have a mountain to climb tomorrow afternoon. They will host the defending champions, Magezi FC, at the Makwarela Stadium.

According to the manager of Joe Express, Mr Ntsedzeni Phaswana, they have beefed last season's squad by acquiring the services of a number of skillful players from the local market. A midfielder, Derrick Mafela from Musina United, and a striker, Sipho Xikolo from Maranzhi Sweepers, are some of the new recruits.

Phaswana also revealed that they have strengthened their goalkeeping department by securing the former Mabvete Peace Makers' keeper, Matios Ndou. The new recruits are expected to form a deadly combination with last season's players, Dakalo Ratshitanga and Thembisani Nevhulamba.

Mighty FC will take on Great North FC at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The newly promoted A1 Terrors will rub shoulders with Bellevue Winners Park at the Nkowankowa Stadium, while an interesting Mopani derby between Dynamos and Blue Rocks will be staged at the Giyani Stadium. Blue Rocks missed a place in the promotional play-offs by a whisker last season, while Dynamos' performance was not impressive throughout the season.

Giyani Hotspurs will have a date with Mosesetjane All Stars at Mahwelereng, and Winners Park and The Dolphins will clash at the Eldorado Stadium in Polokwane. The match between Bilika All Stars and Lephalale Young Killers will be played at the Giyani Stadium, and Polokwane United and Modimolle Aces will meet at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
