Police in the Thohoyandou area have launched a joint search operation to find a young woman who has been reported as missing.
Khanedzeni Millicent Rasimatsi (22), a student from the University of Venda, was first reported missing by her mother on Monday, 19 June.
According to provincial police spokesperson, Lt-Col Moatshe Ngoepe, Khanedzeni left her home in the Hamphego Block C Village, near Thohoyandou, to go to Mpumalanga with fellow students. "She never returned back home, and her cell phone is no longer functioning," said Ngoepe.
Khanedzeni was last seen wearing a pink jacket, black T-shirt, jeans and boots with a black travel bag.
The police, in the meantime, have enlisted the assistance of the community to help with their search.
