News about the release of JR Player and Racha Kill's new single, Tshipidi, was met with excitement by fans. The new song forms part of the upcoming EP, titled Mutambi Dendele, which also features Rude Kid Venda.
With the release of the music video for Tshipidi last week, the musicians promised their fans that they were cooking up more hits. The celebrated artists are currently hard at work recording the rest of the 10-track album, set to be released by mid-May this year.
The single already has the streets abuzz with people dancing to the tune. "The combination of piano synths and log drums immediately got fans nodding along to the beat. We decided to mix the popular piano style that has been causing a sensation in the music industry, and it seems that our fans are enjoying it. They can't seem to get enough of the song whenever we perform it," said Afro Pop and R&B artist JR Player.
Unarine Mutheiwana from Tshikhudini village, today known as JR Player, first caught the attention of music lovers a few years ago after he started collaborating with popular Venda artists such as Mizo Phyll and Meskay.
According to Racha Kill, born Ramaandaothe Nevhutalu from Ngovhela, each rap verse in the song was performed with unique elements. "As the song progresses, the energy builds up and becomes more intense. With such a fiery delivery, the upcoming album promises music that the fans are sure to enjoy," he said.
