Konanani Mudau is a 28-year-old model from Khubvi village, outside Thohoyandou. She made a name for herself when she was crowned first princess in the Miss Mashamba Campus 2019 beauty pageant at the Vhembe TVET College, and she has not looked back since.
Konanani has now been selected as a semi-finalist in the Miss Limpopo Province 2022 pageant, and this, she says, is something many only get to dream about. "Being a semi-finalist in the Miss Limpopo Province pageant is really such a privilege. For me, it is a great opportunity to showcase my capabilities and it gives me the chance to learn and explore more," she says.
The semi-finalists attended a workshop at Bolivia Lodge in Polokwane on 6 August, where the models received tips to help them prepare for the pageant interview and upcoming tasks.
"Winning this competition will actually be a dream come true and a chance to prove that it is possible to become anything, regardless of where you come from," Konanani says.
