Kutama agricultural leader buried

A former agricultural officer and Kutama tribal council chairperson, Mr Daniel Ramuedzisi (72), was buried at the Madodonga cemetery on Saturday.

A former agricultural officer and Kutama tribal council chairperson, Mr Daniel Ramuedzisi (72), was buried at the Madodonga cemetery on Saturday.

He passed away on 15 October at the MediClinic in Polokwane after a long illness.

He was started his primary education at Kutama Primary and in 1963 he completed a certificate in agriculture from the Tompie Seleka Agricultural Training College.

During the funeral, the speakers described Ramuedzisi as a loyal community servant. Vhamusanda Vho-Ntanganedzeni Kutama described him as a pioneer, a born leader and a man of vision. "He was real torch-bearer who never looked back under any circumstance," one of the speakers said.

Mr Ramuedzisi was an advisor to the tribal council and, according to members of the council, he is a pillar that will be difficult to replace.

He was actively involved in the development of local football from the early seventies and a founder-member of Madodonga Limpopo Professionals.
