Sixteen-year-old Lebogang Ramaphakela is already turning heads in the world of beauty pageants — and not just for her striking beauty. This bright young learner is one of the proud finalists in the 2025 Miss Teen Elegant Limpopo competition, a title she is chasing with purpose, passion and poise.
Her journey into modelling began not on a glamorous runway, but in the heart of her hometown at the Miss Resilience Thohoyandou Pageant, where she was crowned Teen Queen.
"That moment changed everything for me," she says. "It was where I truly discovered my potential and realised that modelling is not just about looks, but confidence, voice and vision."
Winning that title opened new doors and gave her the courage to step onto the provincial stage of Miss Teen Elegant Limpopo, a platform known for celebrating young women who embody grace, leadership and determination.
But the road to the crown is no walk in the park.
"Balancing school and pageantry is one of my biggest challenges," Lebogang admits. "Being a student comes with a heavy workload, and the demands of modelling — from rehearsals to photo shoots — can be intense. Add to that the financial pressure of competition-related costs and voting campaigns, and it pushes you to master time management and stay focused."
Despite the hurdles, she remains grounded and hopeful.
"The best part of this journey has been the people I've met," she reflects. "I've connected with so many inspiring individuals who have taught me important lessons, not just about modelling but about life and growth. Each event, each shoot, every moment has helped me evolve."
With the final showdown approaching, Lebogang is calling on the community for support, both for votes and sponsorships.
