The music industry has been dealt a hard blow with the death of the legendary guitarist and singer Vho-Samuel April Ramufhi (76).
He was a resident of Muraleni village and passed away at his home on Monday afternoon after a short illness. Ramufhi was loved by numerous fans all over the coutry for his characteristic hoarse bass voice which endeared him to many music lovers.
Family spokesperson Mr David Khwidzhili said: "We are mourning the death of an icon within the music fraternity. Ho itea lufuno lwa Mudzini (God has done his will). Let us all take solace in the fact that he has left us his quality music, which will accompany us for ages."
Members of the family are busy arranging for a memorial service, which will be held on Friday. The time and venue have not been finalised yet. He will be laid to rest at Muraleni cemetery on Saturday.
