Leopards and Spurs in NFD clash

The Thohoyandou Stadium is expected to be packed to capacity when Black Leopards host Witbank Spurs tomorrow afternoon.

Leopards need a victory after dropping vital points in their last two matches. They played to a goalless draw with log leaders Baroka FC at the Thohoyandou Stadium two weeks ago and drew 2-2 with Thanda Royal Zulu at the Umhlathuze Sports Complex last weekend.

The Thohoyandou outfit are in the ninth spot on the log, while Spurs are one point behind Baroka FC.

Leopards must keep a watchful eye on the Spurs' top goal scorer, Cleopas Dube, and their centre forward, Eric Dlomo, or else they will never know what hit them. Three of Leopards' defenders, Marks Munyai, Thivhavhudzi Ndou and Jonathan King, are still nursing injuries and will not be available for selection.

Thanda Royal Zulu will meet FC Cape Town in the Mother City, while African Warriors will have a date with Moroka Swallows at the Charles Mopedi Stadium. Swallows are fighting for survival as they are languishing at the bottom of the log.

The match that is attracting huge isterest is the match between Cape Town All Stars and Baroka at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town. Vasco da Gama will visit Gauteng for their match against Highlandspark at the Makhulong Stadium in Thembisa.

In the three matches that will be played on Sunday, Amazulu will take on Santos at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban, Milano United and Royal Eagles will rub shoulders at the Athlone Stadium and the NFD rookies, Mbombela United, will play against Mthatha Bucks at the Mthatha Stadium.
